About the role
Serves as lead and primary troubleshooting expert for electrical, process equipment, and instrumentation on the site. Provides maintenance and troubleshooting expertise on plant and facilities electrical, process, and instrumentation. Maintains instrumentation and electrical equipment records and leads the preventative maintenance of I&E aspects for the Chemical Plants and Facilities to ensure proper operation and adherence to compliance requirements. Maintains, orders, and specs repair parts and interfaces with Engineering, Purchasing, and Vendors.
Responsibilities
- Perform plant maintenance and repair on all plant electrical equipment to include motors, motor starter controllers, PLC, DCS, HVAC, controls, VFD, UPS, lighting, process heat trace, pneumatic control valves, hydraulics, electro-mechanical systems (e.g., drum fillers, drum handlers, air compressors, air dryers, etc.) and associated instrumentation to include, but not limited to analytical, pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters.
- Serve as the lead and go-to expert for all Electrical, Process, and Instrumentation systems.
- Troubleshoot PLC and DCS programs and man/machine interfaces.
- Calibrate, repair, and test safety instrumented systems and process instrumentation.
- Maintain calibration test equipment and ensure accuracy. Maintain buffers and solutions needed for calibration.
- Provide input to engineering and project teams as part of capital projects and improvements regarding specifications and future ownership and maintenance requirements.
- Maintain equipment preventive maintenance database on CMMS using SAP and calibration equipment records for ISO-9001, ISO 14001, OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, permit compliance, etc.
- Serve as a foreman/lead technician for jobs where 3rd party contractors are assigned.
- Supervise I&E activities and contractors.
- Perform calculations necessary to set up, program, and download to the DCS/process for level, pressure, temperature, and flow, etc.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Formal technical training in the field of electro-mechanical systems, electricity, controls, HVAC, pneumatics, test equipment, or any equivalent combination of experience and/or training, plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in plant maintenance.
- Technical training in PLC programming and maintenance, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
- General knowledge of Windows and Microsoft-based system programs. SAP experience is a plus.

Pay
$47-$52 per hour
