I&E Design Project Manager - Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an I&E Design Project Manager to support our team on a large-scale battery manufacturing facility in Mississippi. This role reports to the assigned Project Manager(s) or Project Director and involves frequent interaction with the Owner/Client, consultants, design professionals, and contractors. You will assist in managing, coordinating, and administering civil scopes through all phases of design and construction, ensuring high-level client service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager(s) in managing and coordinating civil design and construction phases.
• Prepare and maintain project documents, including reports, schedules, invoices, RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes/agendas, daily reports, change orders, inspections, closeout materials, and client presentations.
• Maintain project information in project management software.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings with the project team as directed by the Project Manager(s).
• Communicate conceptual civil designs and maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction.
• Maintain Basis of Design, prototype design, and template specifications for civil elements.
• Review and inform design RFPs.
• Manage external design consultants through the design and construction process.
• Communicate design standards to internal and external project partners.
• Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• Develop innovative solutions to reduce costs without compromising quality or reliability.
• Oversee the commissioning of electrical scopes and coordinate with the project management team for project completion.

Requirements

• College degree in civil engineering or construction management preferred.
• Experience in project management on large-scale construction programs.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly desirable.
• Experience in civil design.
• Prior commissioning experience.
• Manufacturing or mission-critical experience is strongly desirable.

Skills

• Solid working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent presentation skills and effectiveness in a client-facing role.

• Proven track record in delivering high-quality programs.
• Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
