I&C Integration Leader
About the role
The I&C Integration Leader will be expected to define and execute Requirements Management, Design Change Control, Design Baseline and Configuration Management strategy to support robust execution and delivery on time of the I&C project. Work closely with I&C engineering and operations, licensing, project management, and quality teams to ensure that Design Baseline aligns with approved project stage and that all design changes are rigorously evaluated, documented, and authorized.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the project’s requirements management strategy, processes, and tools.
Lead the capture and decomposition of requirements from but not limited to: Regulatory commitments, Licensing basis documents, Safety analyses, Customer specifications, Engineering standards, Facilitate requirement reviews to ensure clarity, feasibility, and testability of the Design Requirements, Coordinate validation activities to confirm that requirements accurately reflect stakeholder needs.
Maintain end-to-end traceability from high-level regulatory requirements to design outputs, test cases, and operational documentation. Ensure requirements are integrated with configuration management and baseline control processes. Support audits, inspections, and licensing submittals with complete, accurate traceability records.
Administer requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Polarion, or equivalent). Ensure data integrity, version control, and secure access to requirements repositories. Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor requirement maturity and compliance.
Establish design baseline control processes aligned with: NQA-1 10 CFR 50 Appendix B Ensure baselines reflect approved design inputs, regulatory commitments, and licensing assumptions. Lead the Project Change Control Board (CCB), ensuring all proposed changes are evaluated for technical, regulatory, cost, and schedule impacts. Maintain full traceability between baseline documents, design changes, regulatory submittals, and implementation plans. Ensure that baseline changes follow nuclear-grade documentation, review, and approval workflows. Coordinate with Engineering and define Configuration Management to ensure design changes are accurately reflected in project baselines.
Schedule & Cost Integration Collaborate with Project Controls to ensure schedule and cost baselines are synchronized with technical scope. Monitor performance against baselines and identify deviations requiring corrective action. Risk & Impact Assessment Evaluate the impact of proposed changes on safety, licensing, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning. Work with risk management teams to ensure baseline changes are reflected in project risk registers and mitigation plans.
Configuration Management Oversee configuration management processes for I&C digital systems Ensure that all software, firmware, HDL code, toolchains, and supporting artifacts meet the stringent regulatory, quality, and traceability requirements mandated by nuclear standards.
