About the role

Responsible for operating equipment in the department safely and producing quality products per documentation. Perform quality checks, changeovers, SAP data entries, and basic troubleshooting. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Willing and able to uphold BD Values. Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements, and clean room area and equipment cleaning/sanitizing
  • Perform visual inspections
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment
  • Perform changeovers, line clearance, and cleaning
  • Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment
  • Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks
  • Perform rework
  • Cross train where needed within the department to support the business
  • Maintain all quality and GMP standards
  • Perform needed SAP data entries
  • May require the use of 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges
  • Participate on blitz teams as assigned
  • Achieve established production goals
  • Ensure the quality of all product produced
  • Perform quality checks as designated
  • Ability to function as part of a team
  • Process SAP and MES transactions for the department
  • Assist in the BDA process to identify root causes
  • Maintain compliance with all required document training
  • Operate lines in a safe and efficient manner
  • Drive department results by reducing downtime and completing tasks in an efficient manner
  • Maximize efficient time usage in the department
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED preferred; in lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous experience with MES preferred
  • Previous experience with precision measuring instruments preferred

Schedule
