Hyperbaric Tech Safety Director
About the role
The Hyperbaric Safety Director at Healogics is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy, operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers, and ensuring patient safety. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, educate, and orient patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
- Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider.
- Maintain and operate hyperbaric chambers and related support systems.
- Participate in safety programs and conduct safety drills.
- Coordinate and approve hyperbaric chamber upgrades and repairs.
- Lead the hyperbaric safety program and ensure compliance with NFPA 99.
- Document daily hyperbaric treatments and patient records.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) certification.
- Pre or post-hire completion of an approved HBO Safety course.
- Pre or post-hire completion of an approved hyperbaric Medicine Introductory course.
- Current healthcare professional certification or license as applicable in state of practice.
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in healthcare.
- Prior experience in wound or critical care.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $29.75-$39.36 per hour, based on potential employee qualifications, education, experience, and geography as well as operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Schedule
The schedule for this role is primarily full-time, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed.
