Hyperbaric Safety Director

About the role

The Hyperbaric Safety Director at Healogics is responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen therapy, operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers, and ensuring patient safety. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, educate, and orient patients for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
• Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider.
• Maintain and operate hyperbaric chambers and related support systems.
• Participate in safety programs, including conducting safety drills and responding to emergencies.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing management to develop and revise department policies and procedures.
• Lead the hyperbaric safety program, ensuring a safe environment and compliance with NFPA 99.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) certification.
• Completion of an approved HBO Safety course.
• Completion of an approved Hyperbaric Medicine Introductory course.
• Current healthcare professional certification or license as applicable in state of practice.
• Two (2) or more years' experience in healthcare.
• Prior experience in wound or critical care.
• Prior supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification.
• Basic math skills.
• Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
