Hydrovac Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate hydrovac excavation equipment safely and efficiently to perform excavation, potholing, and utility locating tasks.
• Drive and transport hydrovac trucks and related equipment to job sites, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations.
• Carry out pre-operation inspections of equipment, ensuring proper functioning and reporting any maintenance needs.
• Follow project plans and specifications to complete excavation tasks accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment and work site.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.

Skills And Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience operating hydrovac excavation equipment.
• Knowledge of excavation safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and operate heavy machinery.
