Hydrovac Operator

About the role

Support our construction operations by loading, transporting and unloading equipment, supplies, and earthen materials. Operate specialized trucks to move earth, equipment, tools and materials safely into place.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a truck outfitted with a hydro vacuum excavation implement
• Operate a variety of vehicles once certified such as, dump truck, sweepers, flatbeds, tankers, snowplow, boom lift
• Haul material to and from jobsites
• Using a hand shovel to dig and clean up soil, sand, and gravel
• Load and unload equipment and materials
• Daily pre-shift vehicle and equipment inspections
• Keep daily log to track production
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning on assigned vehicles and equipment
• Maintain all industry required Operator Qualifications
• Other tasks as requested by leadership

Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent
• A valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL) with tanker endorsement
• Skills to operate equipment near workers and underground utilities
• Knowledge of DOT regulations pertaining to commercial vehicles

Schedule

Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
