Position Summary
Essential Functions
- Machine Set-up & Operation: Prepare tooling on pre-setter, change tooling according to tool life, load bar stock, keep up with chip load internally and in the chip hopper.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read, analyze, and interpret technical drawings, and schematics to understand part specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for accuracy, dimensions, and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance (cleaning, lubricating) and troubleshoot machine malfunctions.
- Safety & Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to all company safety standards.
- Documentation: Record production data, hourly part checks, and creating job tags.
Minimum Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CNC machinery, G-code programming, and tooling.
- Math & Inspection Skills: Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and blueprint reading.
- Experience: 1–2 years of experience in a CNC manufacturing environment preferred.
- Education: Vocational training or certifications in CNC machining are a plus.
- Abilities: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
