Hydrogeologist II (Rocky Hill, CT)
Weston & Sampson is seeking a geologist/hydrogeologist with 2 - 5+ years of experience to join the Water Discipline in our Rocky Hill, CT office.
Responsibilities
- Hydrogeologic/geologic investigations
- Pumping test supervision
- Water-quality sampling
- Streamflow gaging
- GIS map/graphics generation
- Monitoring and production well drilling oversight
- Soil sampling and logging during well installation
- Data compilation and interpretation
- Permit and report writing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or water resources related field (M.S. preferred)
- 2 to 5+ years of experience
- Proficiency in preparing GIS figures, GIS data evaluation, data entry, and management using Microsoft Suite
- Experience with Grapher, Surfer, and Aqtesolv programs a plus
- Strong GIS skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to independently complete field tasks with limited instruction
- Some travel required to conduct field work
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting
- Enthusiasm for completing field work at a variety of site settings
Pay
$65,000 - $82,000 Based on Education
