Weston & Sampson is seeking a geologist/hydrogeologist with 2 - 5+ years of experience to join the Water Discipline in our Rocky Hill, CT office.

Responsibilities

  • Hydrogeologic/geologic investigations
  • Pumping test supervision
  • Water-quality sampling
  • Streamflow gaging
  • GIS map/graphics generation
  • Monitoring and production well drilling oversight
  • Soil sampling and logging during well installation
  • Data compilation and interpretation
  • Permit and report writing

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or water resources related field (M.S. preferred)
  • 2 to 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in preparing GIS figures, GIS data evaluation, data entry, and management using Microsoft Suite
  • Experience with Grapher, Surfer, and Aqtesolv programs a plus
  • Strong GIS skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to independently complete field tasks with limited instruction
  • Some travel required to conduct field work
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team setting
  • Enthusiasm for completing field work at a variety of site settings

Pay

$65,000 - $82,000 Based on Education
