Hydroforming Press Operator- 1st shift

Shift: 1st – 7am - 3:30pm

Starting Wage: $22 - $24 per hour with three scheduled wage increases the first year

Responsibilities

• Operate hydro press machines according to production specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules to determine the required specifications for each job
• Inspect and measure finished products for quality and accuracy
• Monitor production runs to detect and correct any issues
• Communicate machine problems, quality issues, and other concerns or questions to departmental management
• Maintain a professional work atmosphere by being courteous, respectful, and non-interfering with customers, co-workers, and management

Skills

• Ability to use and interpret precision measurement equipment
• Ability to interpret aircraft blueprints and engineering specs, mylars, and GD&T
• Knowledge of CNC tooling (e.g., end mills, drill bits, reamers)
• Ability to use various/basic hand tools
• Moderate organizational and time management skills
• Moderate problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to change and multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity

Physical Demands

• Lifting and carrying up to approximately 25 pounds
• Pushing and pulling up to approximately 25 pounds
• Overhead reaching
• Standing, sitting, bending, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and squatting for long periods
• Extensive repetitive motions in wrists, hands, and/or fingers
• Fine manipulation, grasping, and squeezing
• Use of vibrating hand tools

Work Environment

• Production area subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations
• Moderate level of noise
• Vibrations and moving parts on machines and hand tools
• Moderate fumes/chemicals (good ventilation provided)
• Concrete floors
• Exposure to machine sparks, metal chips, and/or shavings
