About the Role
The Press Operator performs typical press operations to support the assembly floor. Monitors for defective materials and maintains a clean work area. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Performs typical press operations to support the assembly floor
- Detects and reports defective materials, miss hits, and questionable conditions to the department supervisor
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations
- Tests restraints and other safety equipment
- Wears all required PPE
- Develops the ability to operate a variety of press machines
- Monitors own work to ensure quality
- Performs job with minimal scrap or rework
