PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluate product conditions by conducting performance tests and tear down inspections.
- Use various gauges, meters, tape measures, micrometers, calipers and electrical equipment to check parts dimensions.
- Determine if products from warranty return are repairable and come up with repair solutions.
- Complete the repair or rework of products per specifications and working instructions.
- Test units per procedures, instructions, and specifications.
- Complete all required records and documentation for each project.
- Communicate with customers about repair plans and project status in a timely manner.
- Service company products at customer sites as required, and perform testing, troubleshooting and adjustments as needed.
- Remain technically competent and current in new developments within the industry.
- Travel domestically to customer sites to offer support and product repair services.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 to 3 years in Fluid Power service and repair required, 3 to 5 years of experience preferred.
- A minimum of a H.S. diploma/GED required, a 2-year associate degree in relevant courses preferred, or combination of formal and handson experience with more years of service can be considered.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics.
- Forklift driving experience.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the year to customer sites for service repairs.
- Ability to effectively communicate via oral and written communication.
- Ability to use computer and utilize Office software.
- Hydraulic component troubleshooting is a plus I.E., hydraulic cylinder, pumps and motors.
- Hydraulic test bench knowledge or handson experience is desired.
