Reports to Foreman. Work location: Geneva, IL. Full-time, 1st shift.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain heavy duty hydraulic systems
- Identify hydraulic components and their capabilities
- Read and understand schematics
- Perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, repairing and rebuilding equipment
- Work with production personnel to correctly identify repair requirements
- Understand and utilize blueprints, operator manuals and/or part catalogs to fulfill preventative and corrective maintenance procedures
- Perform work on motors, compressors, conveyors, boilers, and various hydraulic presses ranging from 5-600 tons
- Be available for emergency breakdowns (on-call) and/or snow removal during off work hours, as needed
Requirements
- HS diploma and/or vocational school training
- Minimum of 5 years hydraulic experience
- Excellent working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components including troubleshooting and retro-fitting or designing hydraulic systems
- Solid understanding of electrical (480V), mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and piping systems
- Welding and torch cutting abilities
- Ability to machine and fabricate parts
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for injection molding, hydraulic presses and automated assembly equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work in a safety conscious manner; understanding safety guidelines and protocols
- Must have valid driver’s license
