About the role
The Hydraulic Manufacturing Team Lead - 2nd Shift position is located at Eaton’s IS AER FMC division in Los Angeles, CA. The core hours are 1:45pm to 10:15pm. The hourly rate for this position is $42.44.
Responsibilities
- Assigns work, follows schedule, resolves discrepancies, trains employees, troubleshoots with technicians
- Serves as the link between production floor, Quality and Engineering functions
- Assembles and tests mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies of simple to most complex product lines including Boeing, Embraer, Gulfstream, Cessna, and Airbus
- Works on electrical assemblies and assists operators as required
- Assists in setting job priorities and determining workload requirements
- Trains new operators, evaluates departmental personnel, and identifies training needs
- Manages workflow, runs daily production reports, escalates issues, and leads team meetings
- Ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations
- Assumes supervisor responsibilities in absence
- Checks calibration, assembly, and test equipment and escalates issues if required
- Drives and initiates process improvements within hardware and test equipment
- Maintains clean and safe work area
- Represents department in Customer audits/visits
- May require working in FAA environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- At least ten (10) years’ minimum experience in aerospace assembly and testing of hydraulic and electromechanical control valves
- One (1) year experience assisting and/or leading teams or initiatives
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position
- Must be a U.S. person as defined by the U.S. Government
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with XY plotter, oscilloscopes, and pressure transducer
- Solder certification
- Electric Static Discharge certification
- Experience working in a FAA environment
- Tool design experience
- Previous experience leading teams or department
