Responsibilities
- Independently complete engineering design, technical analysis, and preparation of specifications and reports for bridge projects
- Develop computation methods, technical reports, and specifications under the guidance of senior staff or technical leadership
- Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, applying standard procedures and best practices for safety and infrastructure resilience
- Monitor project progress and performance, acting quickly to resolve operational issues and minimize delays in critical bridge infrastructure projects
- Take responsibility for large portions of projects with oversight from senior staff or management, including field assignments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related disciplines required
- Minimum of 3 years of related engineering experience required
- DOT hydraulic modeling and bridge design experience required
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Qualifications
- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of the hydraulic engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, bridge and/or culvert design, bridge scour evaluations, and FEMA floodplain evaluation, as well as proven ability to practically apply it in a professional environment
- Understanding of QA/QC procedures and regulatory standards
- Proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (HEC-RAS, TR-20, SMS SRH2D, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
- Experience with Open Channel required

- Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred
Benefits
Salary Range $90,000 - $95,000
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
