About the role
The Hydraulic Design Engineer is responsible for creating and developing innovative product designs, ensuring that they meet both functional and aesthetic requirements while adhering to safety, quality, and performance standards. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting design analysis, and producing technical drawings and specifications for applicable workcenters.
Responsibilities
- Hydraulic system circuit design, sizing, layout and analysis.
- Creation of hydraulic component specifications for supplier market tests.
- Creation of validation plans, definition of hydraulic test methods and analysis of test data to ensure robust and accurate performance of hydraulic system designs.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to assist with validation including in the lab and in the field.
- Working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams on resolution of quality and reliability issues.
- Definition and creation of hydraulic circuit schematics.
- Typical activities include selection and sizing of components, circuit design, layout of hydraulic systems, project planning, cost evaluations, test planning, directing and making accurate release of system documentation, bill of materials and drawings.
- Communication and teamwork skills must be excellent as this role interfaces closely with a global team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or similar.
- 1-3 years of experience in hydraulic design or similar experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Pay
The annual salary for this role is $74,625 - $114,425 plus any applicable bonus. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.
