Hybrid Texas Based APP (General Neurology)

About the role

We are looking for clinicians who want to work at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and some of the hardest problems in healthcare. We are looking for someone who is well-versed in the evidence-based treatment of general neurology disorders, and who is empathetic, compassionate, mission-driven, collaborative, and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and examine patients ages 14+ with any neurological complaints.
• Provide patients with a diagnosis and care plan that will help guide them toward their health goals across diet, exercise, stress management, sleep, and more.
• Review labs and imaging that are appropriate for patient care.
• Administer injections.
• Provide follow-up appointments with patients on a regular basis to adjust medications.
• Provide chat-based support to patients going through difficult journeys.
• Generate educational content in support of our online blogs and content library.

Requirements

• Licensed NP or PA
• 1-2 days per week onsite seeing personal injury patients
• 2-3 days per week working remotely seeing non-personal injury/general patients
• ABPN certification or eligibility in Neurology
• Soft skills: listening, negotiating, decision-making, and leadership.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this role is $60/hour.

About the Founders

Liz Burstein is the CEO and was previously Head of Product at Maven Clinic, Director of Product at Zocdoc and Senior Product Lead at LinkedIn. She has fifteen years of experience in the tech industry, and a wealth of knowledge in the health tech domain.

Sameer Madan is the CTO and was previously an engineer at Facebook for 9 years. At Facebook, Sameer was the technical lead for Live Video, and built several well known products such as Facebook Mentions, threaded-ranked comments, and more.

Qualifications

Preference given to candidates with experience in virtual medicine, telehealth, or similar roles.

Skills

Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
