Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns (individual, corporate, partnership, multi-state, etc.) ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax laws.
• Providing tax planning services and offering strategic financial advice to clients.
• Researching and interpreting tax laws and regulations to ensure optimal tax benefits for clients.
• Collaborating with team members to manage, develop, and maintain client relationships.
• Identifying and implementing tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and increase client profitability.
• Assisting in IRS and state tax audits.
• Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, changes in tax laws, and new tax planning strategies.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
• Proficient in tax software and technology platforms.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax codes, regulations, and case law.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct tax planning and review tax returns.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
• High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to client confidentiality.
