Medical/Dental/VisionCTOGrowth Opportunities Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in the energy sector. This pivotal role will contribute to the financial health of our organization by managing our financial procedures, including 10K and 10Q preparation, audits, SOX, SEC, balance sheets, general ledger, and financial reporting. This is a permanent position that offers a remarkable opportunity to influence the financial operations of a leading company in the energy industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and file quarterly and annual reports (10K and 10Q) with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). 2. Conduct internal audits, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations. 3. Manage the general ledger, balance sheet reconciliations, and inter-company transactions. 4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing accurate and timely financial information to management. 5. Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate regular audits. 6. Ensure compliance with all internal controls and financial policies. 7. Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes. 8. Assist in the development and implementation of new financial systems and processes. 9. Analyze complex financial reports and records, providing recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets, and expenditures. 10. Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred. 3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the energy sector. 4. Proficient in preparing 10K and 10Q reports, conducting audits, managing SOX and SEC regulations, and handling balance sheets and general ledgers. 5. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting. 6. Proficient in using financial software and MS Excel. 7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 9. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. 10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. 11. High attention to detail and accuracy.
