Hybrid School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

About the role

A hybrid school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide therapy services in multiple schools within a district. The ideal candidate will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students with communication disorders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Provide direct therapy sessions to students in various settings
• Collaborate with educational staff to implement effective communication strategies
• Keep detailed records of therapy sessions and progress
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required

Requirements

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current license to practice as a speech-language pathologist in the state
• Experience working with children and adolescents with communication disorders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to travel between schools within the district

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Passing score on the Praxis II exam for SLPs
• Knowledge of current best practices in speech-language pathology

Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in using speech therapy software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
