About the role

The Medical Data Reviewer role at ICON plc involves serving as a Clinical Data reviewer, identifying errors in data through comprehensive reviews that require clarification with study sites. The position entails ongoing review of clinical and medical aspects of patient data and documents, ensuring compliance and quality in clinical data management. This hybrid role also includes tasks such as issuing clinical data queries, conducting data trend analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Review and identify errors in clinical data, escalating issues as necessary.
• Conduct ongoing reviews of patient data and documents for compliance.
• Issue clinical data queries and ensure timely follow-up.
• Monitor site data entry performance and implement remedial actions.
• Participate in clinical data review meetings and prepare materials for dissemination.
• Collaborate closely with clinical scientists and medical directors.
• Ensure audit readiness and compliance with clinical standards.
• Continuously assess opportunities for improving data quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Educational background in healthcare (MD, PharmD, PhD).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical/medical data review.
• Experience in Solid Tumour Oncology is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Detail-oriented with strong operational skills.
• Proficient in clinical database navigation and MS Excel.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice and clinical trial design.
