Hybrid Building Maintainer/School Custodian 2nd Shift 2:30-11:00 PM
About the role
The Hybrid Building Maintainer and School Custodian is an 8‑hour daily position on the 2nd shift. While the role is typically split equally between 4 hours of skilled facility maintenance and 4 hours of standard school custodial operations, daily duties will be determined by the Director of Facilities on an as‑needed basis. Depending on district operational needs, some days may require 8 full hours of custodial work (such as covering an employee absence), while other days may require 8 full hours of maintenance work. Regardless of the specific duties assigned for the day, compensation will remain strictly uniform. The employee will be paid the same consistent hourly rate for all 8 hours of work that day, as defined under the Custodian/Maintenance Hybrid classification within the collective bargaining contract. The core goal of this flexible arrangement remains to maintain the school plant in a state of operational excellence, ensuring a clean, safe, and fully functional learning environment free of interruptions.
