Custodian (2nd Shift) - 2:30pm - 11:00pm

About the role

We are currently seeking a reliable and responsible Custodian for our 2nd shift position from 2:30pm to 11:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining the cleanliness of all areas of the facility, including restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas
• Emptying trash cans
• Vacuuming carpets and mopping floors
• Ensuring that all cleaning supplies are stocked and readily available
• Performing minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues
• Reporting any larger maintenance concerns to the appropriate supervisor

Qualifications

• Must have valid Drivers License
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently

Working Conditions

• Duties performed in an educational environment
• Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting
• Lifting and manipulating objects up to 50 pounds without restrictions, up to 125 pounds
• Using hands and fingers to grasp and manipulate tools and controls
• Reaching objects above the head with arms and hands
• Climbing ladders
• Pushing and pulling equipment and moving furniture
• Specific vision requirements include close vision, distant vision, and depth perception
• Noise levels may be moderately loud or loud
• Occasionally required to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
