Hybrid Benefits Specialist in Philadelphia - Up to 90K!
Our client, a global consulting and talent advisory organization, is seeking a Benefits Specialist to support an expanding workforce by taking ownership of the day-to-day administration of the company's benefits programs and serving as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries.

This position is largely remote, with in-person days in the Philadelphia office.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and leadership regarding health, welfare, retirement, and leave-related benefit programs
- Manage the day-to-day administration of employee benefits, ensuring accurate and timely processing of enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and COBRA activities
- Support annual Open Enrollment by coordinating employee communications, system updates, and enrollment activities
- Review and maintain benefits data within Paylocity, ensuring accuracy across employee records, payroll deductions, and vendor integrations
- Audit benefit files, eligibility reports, and vendor feeds to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Review and process benefits-related invoices, funding requests, and reconciliations
- Partner with Payroll and vendors to ensure accurate benefit deductions and funding activities
- Coordinate leave of absence and accommodation processes in partnership with third-party administrators
- Conduct benefits orientations for new hires and provide ongoing employee education regarding available benefit programs
- Draft and distribute employee communications related to benefits, open enrollment, policy changes, and compliance requirements
- Assist with annual compliance initiatives, including regulatory notices, reporting requirements, and benefits documentation
- Maintain benefits policies, guides, and internal resources to ensure employees have access to current information
- Collaborate closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and senior leadership to deliver a seamless employee benefits experience
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of dedicated benefits administration experience OR 5+ years of HR experience with significant hands-on responsibility for employee benefits
- Proven experience supporting employee health, welfare, retirement, leave, and ancillary benefit programs
- Strong understanding of benefits administration, enrollment processes, qualifying life events, open enrollment, and vendor management
- Experience serving as a resource for employees on complex benefits questions and sensitive life events
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage high-volume administrative processes with accuracy
- Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills, including experience working with large datasets, reconciliations, and reporting
- Experience with HRIS platforms; Paylocity experience strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels, including executives and C-suite leadership
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Professional services, consulting, or corporate environment experience preferred
Pay
Compensation includes a base salary of $80,000-$90,000 annually.
