About the role

The Insurance Coverage Practice Group at our client's law firm is seeking a Senior Level Litigation Associate Attorney with a focus on insurance coverage matters. This position involves complex litigation and market conduct matters for both domestic and international insurers.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance policies and draft detailed coverage opinions
  • Provide clear and actionable coverage recommendations for clients
  • Conduct legal research using Westlaw, Lexis, and other research tools
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Draft interrogatories, document requests, and responses
  • Review and analyze document collections in preparation for litigation
  • Engage in direct communication with domestic and international insurers
  • Collaborate with partners and team members to advance case objectives with efficiency and precision

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record
  • Law Review and/or Honors required
  • Active Bar Admission in Florida, in good standing
  • 5–7 years of substantive litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage matters
  • Experience analyzing complex insurance policies
  • Ability to provide clear coverage recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience drafting litigation-related documents
  • Experience participating in litigation proceedings, including depositions and mediations
  • Familiarity with some or all of the following: bad faith insurance claims, commercial general liability, commercial property, errors & omissions, and directors & officers

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
