Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Computer Aided Drafting or other engineering discipline with heavy emphasis on design drafting.
- Bachelor Degree in an engineering field preferred.
- 3+ years technical work in a manufacturing/engineering office environment.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2010 or newer.
- Proficient in MS Excel with the ability to learn other software as required.
- Autodesk Inventor knowledge a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting project specifications, architectural and structural building drawings, and mechanical parts/assembly drawings.
- Ability to learn detailed information about a large number of products.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to grasp technical concepts.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and to manage several projects concurrently with accuracy and speed.
- Requires impeccable attention to detail and excellent proofing skills.
- Ability to work independently with critical thinking skills, and minimal supervision.
- Must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers to ensure engineering needs are understood.
- Update orders to meet job specific requirements through a CPQ system.
- Review and interpret specifications, sketches and layout drawings.
- Review governing code authorities to ensure products being supplied meet the required code criteria.
- Perform complex engineering calculations as necessary.
- Prepare detailed assembly and part drawings as necessary for fabrication.
- Troubleshoot products and components through phone and e-mail communication as necessary to help customers resolve issues in the field.
- Direct and support service technicians in the field by shipping components or locating information as necessary.
- Support all other departments as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay
Base Salary $60,000-$70,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and in keeping with local legislation).
