HVACR Technician I - Maintenance.

12-month position, 8 hours per day. Primary work location: Henderson, NV (Maintenance).

About the Role

This is a skilled trades/technician position within the Clark County School District's Maintenance department.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance and repair work on district facilities, equipment, and systems.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and district standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including work orders and inventory logs.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to complete projects efficiently.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Nevada driver’s license.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in skilled trades (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or general maintenance).
• Certification or licensure in a relevant trade (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) may be required depending on the specific role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
