What You Will Do

- Provide high-quality service to resolve building inefficiencies and address service-related issues.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering solutions and outcomes during service visits.
- Perform on-site HVAC mechanical equipment and controls, participating in certified training through the Service Technical Academy (STA).
- Develop troubleshooting and customer needs resolution skills through coaching and mentorship.
- Keep stakeholders informed about job progress and issues as necessary.
- Maintain attendance for required Union training during the first year of employment.
- Offer recommendations and solutions to enhance facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
- Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What We Look For
- Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
- At least 1+ years of industry experience or equivalent experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
- Knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques.
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally to customers and other external contacts.
- Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment on a job site.
- Ability to prioritize safety in all aspects of work.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Prior to employment, candidates should have 1-2 years of trade school or college education in a technical field.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $24.00 hourly, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary range represents the target compensation for this role, but exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that warrant consideration beyond the stated range.
