HVAC Tour Mechanic (DD)

Job Summary

EMCOR Government Services is seeking a HVAC Tour Mechanic in Herndon. This position monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains equipment in Central Utility Plant and Dulles Discovery buildings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain site operations through the BMCS control system.
• Assist with the maintenance of site equipment and building structure.
• Assist General Maintenance Workers with the maintenance and repairs of the building air systems on the site.
• Perform preventive maintenance of all equipment on site.
• Institute the corrective action and / or inform their supervisor on any deficiencies found while performing the job.
• Supervise Plumbers and General Maintenance Workers as directed by their supervisor.
• Monitor Subcontractors in their task and provide reports when needed.
• Perform other tasks as directed by their supervisor.

Qualifications

• CFC Universal
• Journeyman HVAC License, or MD Class 1 Engineers, or DC 3rd, or equivalent.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include but not limited to: Chillers =/+500 tons, Pumps, Air Handlers, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, VAV’s.
• Demonstrate the ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications.
• Practical knowledge of Chiller Plant Operations.
• Practical knowledge of Building Air Systems.
• Willingness to work rotating shift schedule.
• Able to obtain and maintain an ISSA TS/SCI w/Poly Clearance.
• Physical Demands: Heavy physical effort (lift/carry up to 50 lbs., push up to 100 lbs.), prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking, push/lift equipment, supplies, parts, manual dexterity and mobility, considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.
