HVAC Technician or Senior HVAC Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnosis of HVAC equipment failures.
• Performs all HVAC equipment preventative maintenance.
• Performs repairs on HVAC equipment, including boilers, air handlers, DX systems, chillers, and numerous other types of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Installs HVAC and building automation systems and equipment.
• Installs ductwork, low voltage controls, gas piping, and ventilation systems.
• Responsible for rough-in and final trim of new systems.
• Performs building automation preventative maintenance.
• Responds to and investigates complaints of malfunctioning building comfort control equipment.
• Monitor building efficiencies to include indoor air quality and energy use.
• Responds to after-hours or emergency calls outside of regular scheduled or business hours.
• Remodels existing systems.
• (Senior) Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications

• HVAC Technician: A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Three (3) years of professional journey-level HVAC experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Senior HVAC Technician: A high school diploma or GED equivalent. Five (5) years of professional HVAC experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations

• Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire, with complying insurance.
• A review of motor vehicle records is required at the time of hire and periodically throughout employment.
• This position requires the successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting through a national database.
• HVAC Technician: Must possess an EPA approved Federal Refrigerant II certification. Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Federal Universal Refrigeration License within 90 days of employment.
• Senior HVAC Technician: Must possess a Federal Universal Refrigeration License.
