HVAC Technician (Journeyman)

About the role

As a CBRE Journeyman HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at facilities by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment.
• Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine the best course of action for equipment modifications.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
• Deliver clearly defined duties and tasks following detailed procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED, and Journeyman license with job-related experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Meet physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

The minimum rate for the Journeyman HVAC Technician position is $35 hourly and the maximum rate is $39.90 hourly. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
