HVAC Journeyman Technician
About the role
As a Mechanical Service Technician you will perform all HVACR work necessary to keep existing facilities and systems operating efficiently. This includes inspection, service, maintenance, start-up, testing, balancing, adjusting, repair, modification, and replacement of mechanical and refrigeration equipment and components such as piping connections and controls. You will also handle other service, maintenance, and operations tasks as assigned by the customer, including work on temporary systems.
Southland Industries is a signatory contractor of local union 286. We are ideally looking for someone currently located in the Portland Metropolitan area.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, maintain, start-up, test, balance, adjust, repair, modify, and replace HVACR equipment and components
- Work on related piping connections and controls
- Perform other service, maintenance, and operations tasks as assigned
- Work on temporary systems
Requirements
HVAC/R Mechanical Service Technician - Service Journeyman
- 5 years of experience
- Knowledge of packaged units, VRF systems, ductless mini splits, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, and VAVs preferred
- EPA Universal certification
- Low voltage license (preferred)
- Pressure vessel license (preferred)
HVAC/R Mechanical Service Technician - Apprentice or Tradesman
- 1-5 years of commercial/industrial HVAC experience
- 1-5 years of commercial/industrial refrigeration experience
- EPA Universal certification (preferred)
