Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of expertise in performing preventive and corrective maintenance to a wide variety of industrial or commercial facility HVAC equipment.
  • Identify and correct any safety-related issues and perform independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.
  • Operate, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair ventilation equipment, pumps, fans, chillers, rooftop AHU’s, split systems, compressors, refrigeration, and other mechanical equipment as needed.
  • Utilize the building automation system to track building conditions and the operation of facilities equipment.
  • Utilize strong mechanical and electrical skills in order to complete assignments.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance on HVAC control and operating systems as scheduled from a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Respond and provide service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while ensuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Follow proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Operate various measuring, diagnostic, and testing instruments to help provide energy efficiency solutions.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Maintain a strict schedule in order to be successful in the assignment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management or Lead.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience as an HVAC/R maintenance technician in industrial and/or commercial environments, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and air-conditioning skills are required, as well as the ability to work safely with 3-phase power up to and including 480V.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical circuits ranging from 24V AC/DC and up.
  • Ability to obtain site-specific security access including all applicable background checks.
  • Ability to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.
  • Ability to obtain an appropriate driver's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, as requested.
  • Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.

Qualifications

  • EPA Universal certification preferred.
  • Experience with electrical (480 volt 3 phase and below) preferred.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (Honeywell and Siemens) preferred.
  • Experience with DX Split Systems preferred.
  • Experience with Package Systems preferred.
  • Experience with a CMMS program and Microsoft Office preferred.

Pay

The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is 35.00-37.00 per hour. The actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.

Schedule

This is primarily a 1st shift position that supports a 24/7 operation; scheduled work hours may vary based on critical business demand.
