HVAC Technician II, Commercial
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, and mechanical equipment.
- Install, service, and maintain RTUs, split systems, heat pumps, VAV systems, and related components.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls, motors, contactors, relays, thermostats, sensors, and VFDs.
- Perform refrigerant recovery, evacuation, leak detection, and charging procedures.
- Inspect equipment, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Respond to service calls and emergency repairs in a safe and timely manner.
- Complete work orders, maintenance reports, and required documentation accurately.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, company safety standards, and client requirements.
- Communicate equipment conditions, repair recommendations, and project updates to customers and management.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to HVAC Technician I personnel.
- Support startup, commissioning, and operational testing of HVAC equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Five (5) or more years HVAC experience with the most recent 3 years of experience in a commercial/industrial setting.
- EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Valid, unexpired driver's license required.
- Ability to pass all applicable background screening and drug testing requirements.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical work in various environments.
