HVAC Technician

About the role

Shore Lodge Whitetail Club is a family-friendly resort located on the sandy shores of Payette Lake. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented HVAC Technician who can install, maintain, and repair indoor air quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the efficiency of HVAC/R equipment, ensuring the optimal function of the systems throughout our respective buildings.
• Evaluate, troubleshoot, clean, adjust and repair HVAC/R equipment.
• Perform warranty services and emergency repairs on all HVAC/R systems.
• Install energy-efficient thermostats that save energy and money and swap out old filters for new ones.
• Install heat pumps to help reduce carbon emissions and dehumidifiers where needed.
• Participate and oversee installations.
• Apply local HVAC/R codes in a practical manner on each job.
• Provide technical support in the field.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering to develop protocols that are responsive to need.
• Layout, design, and install low-voltage wiring.
• Run after-hours calls as required.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• One (1) year experience as an HVAC/R technician, and willingness to continue in the HVAC/R field.
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Knowledge and understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Working knowledge of boiler systems.
• Proficiency in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC/R protocols.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read schematics and work plans and to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on holidays with short or no notice.
