HVAC Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC systems and related mechanical equipment
• Maintain and service air handling units (AHUs), rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, and associated components
• Troubleshoot and repair air compressors, pneumatic systems, chillers, and building automation systems (BAS)
• Support system performance optimization to ensure efficient and reliable facility operations
• Respond to service requests and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner
• Document work performed, parts used, and system conditions in maintenance logs or CMMS

Required Qualifications

• Valid CFC (Section 608 EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification) required
• Proven experience working as an HVAC Technician in commercial or industrial environments
• Hands-on experience with: Air Handling Units (AHUs), Rooftop Units (RTUs), Split systems, Air compressors, Pneumatic controls, Chiller systems, Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
• Able to work independently and manage multiple service requests

Preferred Experience

• Experience with boilers, condensate return systems, circulation pumps, fire pumps, Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP)
• Experience in large commercial or multi-site facilities environments

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work within a full-day operational window (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Must adhere to all safety protocols and facility compliance requirements
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Able to lift, climb, and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
