About the Role

As an HVAC Technician, you'll directly support critical mill operations, work on complex industrial systems, perform both preventive and corrective maintenance, and play a key role in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems (filters, belts, bearings, lubrication, etc.)
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and system rounds
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC system issues
• Install new HVAC systems and enhance existing systems
• Support overhead crane cab HVAC repairs and retrofits
• Read and interpret gauges, meters, and system schematics
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
• Reassemble and test equipment following repairs
• Inspect systems to ensure compliance with specifications and identify malfunctions
• Advocate for safety standards including LOTO, confined space, fall protection, and arc flash procedures
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an HVAC technician in an industrial environment
• Universal HVAC certification and Freon certification
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building systems, and electronic schematics
• Experience working with electrical systems (single-phase, three-phase, and DC circuits)
• Ability to interpret technical diagrams and troubleshoot complex systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance systems (MP2 preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
