HVAC Technician

About the role

Perform highly skilled work in the installation, maintenance and repair of building heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and controls.

Perform highly skilled work in the maintenance and repair of refrigeration equipment to include chillers, freezers, refrigerators, coolers, and related devices.

Confer with supervisor/s regarding assigned duties and communicate with University campus partners on requests.

Access information utilizing computers.

Promote a work place culture that encourages safety within the shop and in the field.

Operate a University vehicle to transport materials, tools, and equipment.

May be required to operate an aerial lift.

Responsibilities

• High School diploma, Vermont Type S C3 License and Vermont Natural Gas Installer Certification, or ability to acquire within six months, and three years’ experience in HVAC equipment and controls installation, maintenance and repair experience required.
• Refrigerant Recovery Certification required.
• Experience using computers and mobile technology required.
• Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain and driver’s check required.
• May be required to operate an aerial lift.

Requirements
