HVAC Technician
Core Responsibilities
- Maintaining cooling systems – diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
- Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment.
- Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
- Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
- Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
Core Experience
- Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
- 3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
- Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Physical/Work Environment
- Candidates should reside within 60 miles of Fitchburg, Massachusetts area.
- Must be available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion.
- Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.
- Occasional overnights required-company pays all travel costs and provides per diem.
- Driving to remote work sites as needed.
- Be exposed to ambient temperatures while working outdoors.
- Lift and move equipment as needed (up to 50 pounds).
- Will be required to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
Compensation
Base Pay Range: $24 - $43 USD
