Requirements
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years experience in a maintenance department in a health-related Facility.
- Must be knowledgeable of HVAC practices and procedures in nursing care facilities.
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, modify, troubleshoot, rebuild, and repair HVAC systems and equipment in a residential establishment in accordance with applicable building codes and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot, repair, modify, or replace Power, and/or control wiring/circuit.
- Possess electrical knowledge and have plumbing knowledge of both water and steam systems.
- Manage repair costs while minimizing inefficiencies.
- Monitors HVAC systems and operations and ensures that routine preventive maintenance is performed according to established schedules and standards.
- Checks, repairs and/or replaces valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes and other functional components of the system.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Applies all applicable OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work.
