Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair light commercial HVAC units
- Troubleshoot issues with walk-in coolers, reach-in coolers and freezers
- Preventative maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair and clean ice machines
- Troubleshoot and repair exhaust fans
Requirements
- Mechanical skillset required
- Electrical knowledge, troubleshooting experience
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Self motivation and accountability
- Friendly and professional attitude
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Refrigerant handling certification required
- 2+ years of experience preferred
Physical Demands
- Must be able to: Work for extended periods on knees or in squatting positions
- Work for extended periods in aerial lifts or on ladders
- Work outdoors in hot and cold environments
- Bend and perform tasks regularly
- Pull and break pipes loose
- Wear and properly utilize fall protection equipment
- Pass a respirator fit test and medical evaluation when required
- Enter confined spaces to perform tasks (when trained and authorized)
- Drive for extended periods of time safely and maintain focus while operating a vehicle
- Work on stomach to access underground equipment for extended periods
