Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, and building automation systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with cGMP and company standards.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical malfunctions across chillers, air handlers, rooftop units, boilers, and process cooling/heating loops.
- Inspect, calibrate, and maintain sensors, thermostats, actuators, and control valves for accuracy and reliable operation.
- Monitor and document system performance, pressures, and temperatures daily to maintain environmental control within validated parameters.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and support Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) and associated automation controls.
- Ensure all work is properly documented in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and performed in full compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited vocational or technical training program in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Systems strongly preferred; a combination of equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in commercial or industrial HVAC maintenance and repair.
- Experience working in FDA-regulated, GMP, or pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in HVAC system diagnostics, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) such as Honeywell, Siemens, or Johnson Controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
- Proficiency in CMMS use and documentation in compliance with cGMP expectations.
- Strong communication, organization, and self-management skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments.

Skills

Pay
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
