HVAC Technician

Responsibilities

• Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment.
• Follow PJHA process, observation process, and all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on heating/air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Install equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions and preventive maintenance.
• Assist in formulating preventive maintenance standards/work procedures.
• Operate hand/power tools, HVAC & refrigeration tools, rigging, and fall protection equipment.
• Work from elevated areas using fall protection equipment.
• Work all shifts including holidays and weekends as needed.
• Communicate with team members to assist in short- and long-range planning.
• Ensure compliance with company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.

Requirements

• Possess a high school degree or approved GED.
• Some experience in industrial HVAC/refrigeration maintenance and repairs preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to observe details at close range.
• Control Precision and Manual Dexterity.
• Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds).
• The ability to move for extended or continuous periods.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and step stools.
• The ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
• The ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
• The ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
• The ability to communicate effectively.
• The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.

Skills

• Working knowledge of hand/power tools, HVAC & refrigeration tools, rigging, and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance.

Pay

$26.35 - $31.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Mon-Friday, 7a-330p or 7a-530p Mon-Thurs or Tue-Fri.
