About the role
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting 232 Management’s mission by ensuring our multifamily communities are safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently. This position is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property while delivering professional, responsive service to residents.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues, perform repairs, complete preventative maintenance, and address resident service requests in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Conduct inspections, troubleshoot issues, and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Provide direction to junior technicians and coordinate with outside contractors on assigned projects.
- Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and equipment.
- Cookordination maintenance-related vendor and contractor activities.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety and environmental policies.
- Deliver high levels of resident satisfaction through responsive, professional, and solution-oriented service.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide 24/7 maintenance coverage.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience, or 4 years with EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- Trade certification, license, or degree in at least one of the following: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Appliance Repair, Carpentry.
- Advanced expertise in at least one skilled trade.
- Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
- Experience training and mentoring junior technicians.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Completion of required Maintenance Technician III training within 15 months of hire or promotion.
- Valid state-issued driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Skills
- Frequent use of hands to operate tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Regular standing, walking, reaching, climbing ladders, balancing, stooping, and kneeling.
- Frequent use of hands to lift and move materials weighing 50–75 lbs.
- Combination of physical labor and light clerical work throughout the day.
