Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all HVAC and refrigeration systems across the property.
- Monitor system performance to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to refrigerant use and reporting.
- Track, recover, and report refrigerant usage in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Order parts, tools, and supplies required for HVAC and refrigeration maintenance.
- Support preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and equipment failure.
- Aid with mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance tasks as required.
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organisation of plant rooms, workshops, and service areas.
- Attend briefings and meetings related to new installations or system upgrades.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and engineering standards at all times.
Requirements
- Universal EPA Certification and recognised HVAC and refrigeration certifications.
- Previous experience maintaining HVAC and refrigeration systems, preferably in a hospitality or resort environment.
- Strong working knowledge of heating, cooling, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform demanding manual tasks in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Willingness to stay informed on changing HVAC and refrigeration regulations.
