Job Description Summary
The HVAC Technician 1 demonstrates professionalism through positive communication and appearance, providing exemplary service to customers. This role delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment, trains operators, troubleshoots equipment, cleans returned equipment, and maintains accurate records.
Position Responsibilities
- Communicates with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls
- Delivers and installs rented HVAC equipment and trains authorized operators on safe use
- Directs customers to sign paperwork; keeps track of serial numbers
- Successfully troubleshoots equipment operation, function, specifications, and controls
- Operates company vehicle safely and follows safety policies
- Cleans and tests returned equipment, ensuring operation and appearance meet standards
- Completes paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls
- Installs flexible gas hose on both propane and natural gas applications
- Checks gas connections safely and implements proper procedures
- Maintains accurate records and tracks equipment inventory with managers and sales engineers
- On-call for emergency service and available on a rotating schedule for weekend and evening calls
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role interacting with customers
- Basic math skills
- Mechanically inclined
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- At least 21 years old
- Able to work some after-hours and weekend shifts during peak times
