HVAC Technician - 1st Shift

About the role

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a HVAC Technician - 1st Shift to join our team in Beltsville, MD. The core hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $33.50 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Support refreshing of office and manufacturing areas throughout the site based on availability and need.
• Provide support and back up for other members of department as needed by leadership.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Maryland HVACR License (Journeyman).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, and rooftop units.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with commercial or industrial HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, rooftop units, and boilers/chillers.

Skills/Position Criteria

• Complies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies by driving EBS/World class workforce initiatives such as ISO14001 and/or applicable regional initiatives.
• Ability to proactively work with other team members under limited supervision.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to be comfortable working in any weather conditions and on rooftops.
• Ability to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts and hand tools.
• Flexibility in shiftwork may be required to perform work at times when area is not occupied.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to climb ladders.

Pay

The hourly rate for this position is $33.50 per hour. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
