About the role
This position supports safe and efficient plant operations in a fast-paced industrial food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC equipment and related facility systems.
- Maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems utilizing various refrigerants.
- Diagnose refrigerant leaks and perform necessary repairs.
- Replace and repair compressors, condenser and evaporator coils, fan motors, blower assemblies, and other HVAC components.
- Braze and repair refrigeration and HVAC piping systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control-related issues on HVAC equipment.
- Work with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and controller-operated HVAC systems.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair refrigerators, ice machines, water fountains, control panel cooling units, and other related equipment.
- Read and interpret building drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
- Accurately document maintenance activities and work orders using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Adhere to all company safety policies, quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and HACCP requirements.
- Support facility operations by completing additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of HVAC and facility maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in the safe use of HVAC and maintenance tools, equipment, and testing devices.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong decision-making abilities with the capability to work independently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with flexibility for overtime or emergency response as needed.
Pay
$26.03 - $32.07 per hour
