Position Overview
The HVAC Support Technician will assist with the installation of gas heating equipment, hot water heaters, fireplace logs, central air conditioning and heat pump units. Assist with installation of ductwork, fuel lines and electrical upgrades as necessary. Assist with minor adjustment and repair of residential heating and air conditioning equipment. This role will start with a pay rate of $22.87/hr.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the proper installation of various HVAC equipment.
- Aid in the proper installation of water heaters.
- Safely transport and handle materials.
- Capable of installing and testing fuels lines.
- Aid in the installation of utility-related work.
- Complete all necessary paperwork.
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to use all hand and/or power tools associated with the type of work being performed.
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Ability to speak, write, and read English.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Minimum Physical Requirements
- Carrying a tool bag to the worksite, up and down ladders and back to the vehicle (weighing 25 lbs).
- Lifting is performed while raising a tool bag, part(s) and bucket(s) of water.
- Climbing is performed while walking up and down stairs, ladders, stepping in and out of the vehicle and the rear of the vehicle.
- Kneeling is performed mainly at customer’s residences, while servicing HVAC equipment, searching for, stocking and removing parts from vehicle.
- Crouching is performed mainly at customer’s residences, while servicing HVAC equipment and working in confined spaces, i.e., attics, crawl spaces, etc.
- Crawling is performed mainly at customer’s residences, while servicing HVAC equipment and working in confined spaces, i.e., attics, crawl spaces etc.
